Objective The MoMARSAT 2013 cruise provided the first maintenance work on the stand-alone sea floor observatory set up on the Lucky Strike volcano and the hydrothermal site of the same name during the MoMARsat 2010 cruise. This pilot experiment, begun in the MoMAR-D demonstration action context (coordinated by P.M. Sarradin and A. Colaço) of the ESONET network of excellence (2007-2011, coordinated by R. Person Ifremer), is one of the nodes in the EMSO European Multidisciplinary Subsea Observatory network.
