Objective

The main objective of this cruise is to documenter and characterize the North Caribbean transform zone overall around the "wedge" area of Haiti. The latter is formed by the three large structural units already described: (1) the Northern strike-slip boundary and its tectonic accretionary wedge, (2) the Southern strike-slip boundary, blocked to the East by the Beata Ridge and (3) the Haiti chain accommodating the transpressional deformation between them.
