Objective | PECH 9 carries on from the PECH 1 to 6 (2006 to 2008) and PECH 8 (August 8) cruises, to supply a long-term database of physical-chemical, biogeochemical and faunal parameters for benthic and plankton environments along a bathymetric leg, on the Landes plateau (Bay of Biscay). The data are broken down into two parts: (1) Physical-chemical and biogeochemical measurements in the water column; inventory of plankton foraminifera fauna; and (2) Biogeochemical parameters measured at the water-sediment interface; inventory of benthic foraminifera. The cruise was related to the following project: Observation service for STEEPL temporal monitoring of benthic and plankton ecosystems of the Plateau des Landes - OSUNA (Observatory of Earth and Planetary Sciences, Nantes Angers)funding. |
