Objective | Impact of climate change on benthos and marine habitats in the Kerguelen islands. Setting up a baseline for ecological and genetic monitoring, protection and conservation. IPEV programme No 1044. PROTEKER is a pilot programme (installation of a coastal sea floor observatory) which will be the basis for future studies or studies underway, of national, European or international scope. While searching and choosing sites, advantage was taken to collect organisms for programmes currently under way: Collecting of Abatus cordatus, Mytilus edulis and other invertebrates. The dates of days at sea were: from 20/12/2011 to 23/12/2011 - Gulf of Morbihan; from 25/12/2011 to 29/12/2011 - North Kerguelen, Choiseul and Baleiniers sectors; from 31/12/2011 to 05/01/2012 - South Kerguelen, Bay of Audierne and Bay of Swains sector. |
