Objective	Main objective: Constructing time-series of abundance indexes for the main commercial species in the North Sea and Eastern English Channel. (Assessment of main commercial fish stocks). Larval index calculated for herring and sprat. Additional objectives: - Logging of acoustic data (for later analysis); - Egg sampling using the CUFES (Continuous Underway Fish Egg Sampler) in the North Sea; - Study on hydrological, phytoplankton and zooplankton compartments. The related project is the International Bottom Trawl Survey. Assessments of community managed fisheries.

-Samples taken using GOV wide opening vertical trawl: calculating abundance indexes for commercial species.
-Pelagic sampling in order to identify acoustic detections.
-Acoustic prospecting: assessment of pelagic species in the English Channel; recording data from ER60 and ME70.
-Sampling of larvae: calculation of larval abundance indexes for herring and sprat using larva net.
