Objectif La campagne MoMARSAT 2011 a permis une première maintenance de l'observatoire fond de mer dit « standalone » (transmission de données par satellite) mis en place sur le volcan de Lucky Strike et le site hydrothermal éponyme pendant la campagne MoMARsat 2010. Cette expérience pilote, initiée dans le cadre de l'action de démonstration MoMAR-D (coordination PM Sarradin et A. Colaço) du réseau d'excellence ESONET (2007-2011, coordination R. Person Ifremer), constitue un des noeuds du réseau d'observatoires sous-marins européen (EMSO : European Multidisciplinary Seafloor and water). La campagne est rattachée aux projets ESONET et EMSO.
