Objective The main objective was to estimate the exploitable biomass, quantitative indices of recruitment (next generation to be taken in catches) and pre-recruitment (last-born generation, too small to be caught by fishing gear), and growth parameters. These data were to provide scientific backing for decisions made on the "Scallops commission" of the Lower-Normandy regional marine fisheries and fishfarming Committee, before the start of the fishing season, and for management measures adopted by the Fisheries administration. This project fell under the Theme D, D2 program on fisheries assessment.
