Objective | EUROSITES is an FP7 project incorporating 9 deep sea observation sites in Europe (2008-2011). The 3 missions carried out on the 2 French sites in the Ligurian Sea in 2010 had the following objectives: Study of variability in physical (T, S) and biogeochemical (nutrients, oxygen) processes between the Antares site (zonex 11) and the Dyfamed site (zonex 28). Influence of the Northern current on variability in biogeochemical processes. Bacterial consumption in bottom water (deployment of a line with an IODA in WMDW bottom waters) and variability in zooplankton species in surface waters (deploying a moored line with a ZPS). The dates of the mission were: 3-6 April 2010 (Eurosites1); 4-7 July 2010 (Eurosites2); 22-25 October 2010 (Eurosites3). |
