Objective | The central goal of the POMME program is the study of the influence of mesoscale features on the formation of the water masses in the main thermocline of the North-East Atlantic. Once formed, these water masses are not subjected to atmospheric influence for several years, or even several decades. This study involved not only the physical characteristics of these water masses but also their chemical and biological properties. |
