Objective Seasonal and inter-annual monitoring of the heat content, surface salinity, hydrology and circulation between Tasmania and Adélie Land. The programme began in 1992. The dates of crossings between Hobart and Dumont D'Urville for the XBT shooting cruises were as follows (3 rotations): - from 21/10/2009 to 16/11/2009 (Hobart-Hobart) - from 04/12/2009 to 29/12/2009 (Hobart-Hobart) - from 17/02/2010 to 05/03/2010 (Hobart-Hobart) Surface salinity data were acquired continuously during all rotations between 21 October 2009 and 05 March 2010. The related projects are CLIVAR and TOSCA. Data go to ORE-SSS and LEGOS.
