Objectif Études du fonctionnement des deux types d'écosystèmes benthiques qui cohabitent sur la marge, l'un à base détritique et l'autre à base chimiosynthétique, étude de la structure des communautés des deux types d'écosystèmes en relation avec les flux d'énergie et des liens entre ces deux types d'écosystèmes. Étude de l'influence des apports du Zaïre sur les variations temporelles des flux de carbone, de l'hydrodynamisme et des paramètres chimiques de l'environnement. Étude de la réponse des peuplements benthiques à ces variations. Approche expérimentale dans le cadre des études d'impact de forage en domaine de marge continentale.
