Objectif L'objectif du projet OVIDE est l'observation de la circulation et des masses d'eau dans le tourbillon subpolaire de l'Atlantique Nord et la détermination des fluctuations à basse fréquence de la cellule méridienne de circulation océanique, du transport de chaleur et de traceurs vers le Nord de l'Atlantique Nord, et des caractéristiques des masses d'eau. Pour atteindre cet objectif, nous avons réalisé une radiale entre le Portugal et le Groenland constituée de 110 stations d'hydrographie, géochimie, courantométrie Doppler. Cette radiale a été réalisée tous les deux ans pendant dix ans afin de résoudre les échelles pertinentes de la variabilité de l'océan. La campagne OVIDE 2010 est la cinquième et dernière réalisation de la radiale du projet.
