Objective Assessing anchovy and sardine biomasses in the Bay of Biscay using acoustics and associated pelagic trawl hauls, including with ME70 multibeam echosounder. Characterization of the hydro-biological environment of habitats. Identifying and counting higher-order predators. This cruise is related to the HIS-Resources and sustainability and dynamics of fished populations of Ifremer's PG programme P6 on the Ecosystem approach to fisheries. Monitoring fished populations fulfils the requirements of European Union regulations for the collection and management of data needed to conduct the Common Fisheries policy (DCF) which financed 50% of the cruise cost.
