Objective The first NEUTRIVIC 09 operation involved the services described in the contract for "ANTARES operations at sea, making available a vessel and underwater vehicle". This new operation, in the framework of MCO for the detector gave top priority to the connection of the the lines L4, L6, L7, L9, L10 and L11 with hook-up operations at the foot of the line or at the junction box(JB) and connecting an X-Box shunt, required for new users to access Antarès and redeployment of a 350 metre-long linking cable. The second part, named TEXREX (acronym for Technical EXperiment Réseau d'Excellence ligure) involves four successive operations: - Deployment, connection and testing of the Secondary junction box (SJB): The SJB can offset the connection interface of the ANTARES primary junction box and provides bases to connect equipment under limited, defined conditions. - Deployment, connection and demonstration testing of an IIM instrumentation interface module (MII). Used in association with a series of ALBATROSS environmental sensors: Autonomous Line with a Broad Acoustic Transmission for Research in Oceanography and Sea Sciences. - Deployment, connection and testing of a seismometer module containing a new generation Guralp seismometer, a high resolution sensor for absolute pressure and variation in pressure, with deployment of seismometer. - Test RATCOM / Deep Sea Net: This operation also falls within the framework of a regional alert network project (Thalès leader), interconnected with specialized centres on shore (RENASS), for which Ifremer (with GeoAzur, ACRI and CEA) is in charge of performing "underwater measurements" from the Deep Sea Net array. Related projects are NEUTRIVIC 09 (Ifremer/CNRS contract), TEXREX (PACA region (BJS), ESONET (MII/ALBATROSS) and FIU/RATCOM (Sismo and DeepSeaNet).
