Objectif Les résultats escomptés sont : - validation de la qualité d'enroulement du câble synthétique, - qualification de l'outil Penfeld par fonds supérieurs à 2500 m, - qualification de l'utilisation du câble synthétique avec le carottier, - qualification de l'utilisation du câble synthétique avec le Penfeld, - formation du personnel ad hoc de Genavir à l'utilisation des outils de carottage, - amélioration de nos connaissances sur le processus de prélèvement par carottier à piston stationnaire. L'ordre ci-dessus ne reflète pas la priorité des objectifs. Les positions des stations sont : Station 1 : N45°50'-W07°55' fosse à 4800 mètres / Station 2 : N47°27'-W08°27' Mériadzek 2200 mètres / Station 3 : N47°15'-W07°38' canyon Guilcher 4000 mètres / Station 4 : N47°15'-W05°50' plateau continental 300-1000 mètres / Station 5 : N47°46'-W04°25' petits fonds 80 mètres.
