Objective The SIMED/MEDOR (Simrad-eastern Mediterranean) associating the MOA from SHOM, the DRO/GM Cartography group from IFREMER and the GEOSCIENCES-AZUR laboratory from CNRS-INSU, aimed to complement the systematic mapping of large morphostructural ensembles in the eastern Mediterranean, particularly the Mediterranean Ridge. The cruise was based on simultaneous use of multibeam bathymetry tools and acoustic imaging and other geophysical measurements which can be continuously logged aboard BHO survey vessel Beautemps-Beaupré (gravimetry, magnetism, sediment sounder).
