Objective

Taking stock of the "Western English Channel" ecosystem by collecting complete data covering a maximum number of compartments in the this system (hydrology, plankton compartments including fish eggs and larvae, benthic invertebrates, pelagic, demersal and benthic fish and cephalopods, sea birds and marine mammals). Determining the impact of climate change in the Channel on the composition of benthic invertebrate assemblages, as a group which integrates les changes, through sampling of specific stations for which there is historic data. Performing intercalibration with RV Gwen Drez to be able to continue the CGFS (Channel Ground Fish Survey) data series aboard another vessel in coming years.
